Graham B Cunningham, one of the founders of the popular auction house Beadles, has died at age 89.
He was born in Scotland and spent his early life in a Scottish brothel, according to a post on his family’s website.
Cunningham also served in the Scottish military and had an active role in the British military.
He had a successful career as an entrepreneur, who opened up the first online auction house in Britain, Beadlets.
He died at his home in the U.K. on Monday, the family said.
Cunningham left the company in 1989 and went into private practice in London.
He sold his home, and the land where his brother had lived, to his brother in 2003, the company said.
