A $50-million auction for new artwork will feature an array of Detroit art from local and international artists.
The Detroit Art Museum on Tuesday announced the inaugural Detroit Art Auction, which will feature new artworks from artists including Frank Lloyd Wright, John Siegel, and Edward Hopper.
The art will be sold at an auction, which the museum describes as a way for the public to connect with the art.
The auction will also feature a performance of the film “The Good Shepherd,” by actress Sarah Wayne Callies, which premiered at the 2017 Detroit Film Festival.
The auction is being held at the Detroit Museum of Art.
The museum has previously hosted an auction for the city’s new art.
